real,- Episcopia, the second real,- Hypermarket in Oradea
Thursday, December, 4, 2008, real,- Hypermarket opens its second hypermarket in Oradea, following an overall investment of over EUR 22 million. The German retail chain reaches a number of 18 stores on the Romanian retail market.
The new real,- store is located in the north-west part of the city, at 10 Str. Suisului, being the fourth hypermarket opened by the company in 2008.
real,- Oradea Episcopia covers a total built area of 14,000 square meters, out of which 7,500 square meters are selling area, and it benefits from 550 ground parking spaces.
The new real,- hypermarket in Oradea keeps the indoor design line which follows to make the shopping time more efficient by providing a second entrance near the food sector, by displaying the fresh products in an open area similar with the market format, by implementing the "shop in shop" concept in the sectors of electronics, cosmetics, etc.
The total investment made by real,- in Oradea, with the opening of this second hypermarket, reaches EUR 38 million and the company hired over 700 employees in the city. Mr. Tjeerd Jegen, Managing Director with real,- Hypermarket Romania, stated on the retailer’s presence in Oradea: "We proved in Oradea that we are a strong business partner for the local community as we use regional and national products offer. Meanwhile, we succeeded in having the best wine offer, the most appreciated fish, meat, fruit, vegetables, the best gastronomy and bakery variety on the market."

Having generous and well ventilated spaces, the new store uses state-of-the-art equipment for the various activity fields: high performance refrigerators, latest generation weighing devices, high capacity ovens and grill in the hot corner and Bakery sectors, etc. Customer traffic flow is ensured on a daily basis by the 38 cash registers installed, from which 34 are in line with 4 express type.
For a complete shopping experience, the real,- hypermarket in Oradea Episcopiei proposes its customers an adjacent commercial gallery of over 8.100 square meters total surface , sheltering 25 shops from various fields. The stores are operated by famous companies with well known brands to the Romanian public: Jysk, Takko fashion, Leonardo, Tehno Market, Secuiana, Mondex, etc.
